The 41st meeting of the World Intellectual Property Organization’s Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) takes place on 28th of June – 1st of July 2021 in hybrid format.

IFLA will engage at the meeting in order to make the case for concrete work in support of libraries and their users. The pandemic has underlined the need for laws that allow libraries to fulfil their missions online as well as off.

WIPO has a unique role to play in providing leadership for govenrments, giving them the certainty that legislating in support of libraries and their users is both necessary and possible.
