IFLA Academic and Research Libraries Section wishes to congratulate the following individuals for their winning essays and sharing their interests with IFLA. All essays were blind peered review by librarians with lengthy knowledge and experience in their field and active members of various professional associations.

The IFLA Academic and Research Libraries wishes to thank Ms. Mame Purce, Collection Development Librarian; Ms. Awilda Reyes, Government and Maps Librarian; and Dr. Rachel McMullin, Information Literacy/Humanities Librarian for thier participation in the selection of the Essay Contest winners for a free bursary/registration to the 75th World Library and Information Conference to be held in Milan, Italy in August, 2009.
