Ale Public Library
Integrated public library and upper-secondary school library, located in the centre of Nödinge, the chief town in Ale Municipality. The library is housed in the upper-secondary school and can boast of a very exciting architecture, designed by Gerth Wingård, one of Sweden’s leading architects.

Borås Public Library
The Cultural centre, where the public library is usually housed, is due to a major renovation and the library has moved to temporary locations at the old textile factory Borås Wäfveri. It is an exciting old building in the city centre on an island in river Viskan.

The Library and Learning Resource Centre at the University of Borås
The Library and Learning Resource Centre (LLR) at the University of Borås offers the University’s 12 000 students over 800 places for study as well as access to a number of support services ranging from information seeking instruction to student health care. The LLR has a total of 50 employees, of which about 20 are librarians. The modern and spacious Library facilities are an architectural experience built of glass and concrete. The building was completed in 2004 and consists of six floors.

Dals-Ed Public Library
The library lies in the village center. Dals-Ed library cooperates with other libraries in the province Dalsland using the same library computer system.

Essunga Public Library
Essunga Municipality is a small country municipality – one of the smallest in the region with its population of just over 5,500, of whom about 2,000 live in Nossebro, the chief town in the municipality. It is here that the integrated public and school library is situated. There is a well-developed co-operation between the libraries and the schools of Essunga Municipality

Falköping Public Library
The library in Falköping is a modern multicultural library characterised by excellent accessibility. Of particular interest are the library’s efforts to promote accessibility. This is achieved by aids such as Audio Index and DAISY Kiosk, as well as our reading and writing technician, permanently employed on a half-time basis. Self-service using RFID technology, wireless networks and the use of SMS services play an important role of making the library’s services accessible. In Falköping the activities of the children’s library are also well developed.

Färgelanda Public Library
The library was inaugurated in 2003 and is co-located with the community centre, an art gallery, some shops and the bus stop.

Libraries in Härryda
Mölnlycke Library
The Cultural Centre in Mölnlycke, with its bright, open and modern architecture, was inaugurated in 1990 and extended in 2007-2008. The Centre houses the municipality’s integrated central library and upper-secondary school library, auditoria, a café, premises for clubs and societies, and the Nemes Hall and the Art Passage for art exhibitions. Located on the first floor in the Cultural Centre are the Studio, the Art Shelf and offices for staff involved in recreational and cultural activities. Here one can experience the interaction between exciting architecture and a vibrant and active library. The activities of the children’s library and the school libraries are excellent and well developed.

Karlsborg Public Library
Karlsborg public library has a nice collection of books and other media and they particularly support genealogical research and adult learning. They are engaged in a special programme that supports cultural activities for senior citizens

Kungälv Public Library
The library was designed by Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh and inaugurated in 2004. The library is integrated with an upper secondary school and is an inspiring and modern library.

Lerum Public Library

Orust Public Library

This library has generous opening hours and is located very close to the City of Gothenburg. It is located with senior high school and a cultural center.

Skara Public Library
Skara is a medieval town situated in an old district rich in cultural traditions. The Diocesan and Regional Library of Skara possesses a large collection of books and older manuscripts, from the Middle Ages and onwards. The most renowned possession is the Skara Missal, a book from ca 1150 containing the order of service for the Roman Catholic Mass. Other famous works include Isaac Newton’s Philosophiœ Naturalis Principia Mathematica. The collection of books from the 18th century stretches over more than 500 shelf metres. In addition to the older collections, the library also possesses sheet music, local history literature and archives, material for genealogical research and databases.

Stenungsund Public Library
In the 1980’s a lot of new Swedish libraries were built and among them this one. The library is part of a vivid Cultural Centre and offers a wide range of services. As a complement there is a new mobile library from 2008.

Strömstad Public Library
This public library lies in a picturesque small town at the border of Norway and with a wonderful archipelago just outside. In 2009 Sweden’s first marine national heritage park was inaugurated in the coastal area outside Strömstad.

Tibro Public Library
Tibro is the furniture center of Sweden, a small town were the library is co-located with the upper secondary school. The library offers a variety of programs for children and the pupils from their neighbour schools

Tidaholm Public Library
In this one hundred year old library building today’s Tidaholm Public Library offers their visitors an up to date service that include books, films, audio books and computer games. They also offer an ambitious disability programme.

Tjörn Public Library
