At this Congress we’ll be celebrating the publication of two more books in the IFLA Publications Series.

New Titles

LIS Education in Developing CountriesDrawing upon IFLA's unique global reach, LIS Education in Developing Countries highlights the successful ways in which the different issues and challenges that face LIS education in the various regions of the developing world are being tackled.

It contains contributions from Africa, southern and eastern Asia and South America and puts particular emphasis on the benefits of international and cross-border collaboration.

Libraries Serving DialogueLibraries Serving Dialogue was produced by the Religious Libraries in Dialogue Special Interest Group and shows the contribution of libraries to the dialogue between cultures, a dialogue which is always closely linked to the dialogue between religions.

With the urgent need for dialogue on a worldwide scale, libraries have a significant role to play - and they are meeting this challenge.
