Mobile Libraries at WLIC Gothenburg

By Ian Stringer

Swedish Mobile Librarians have arranged for  a series of mobile libraries to visit the conference during the week. The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday: Mölndal, Kungsbacka (until lunch)

Thursday: Ljungby, Stenungsund, Säffle

Friday: Falkenberg (2 vehicles), Höganäs, Värnamo

(Unless otherwise stated they will be present for the whole day.)

These vehicles represent mobile libraries from 3,5 up to 18 tonnes and show the different emphasis in their daily work. They are mainly new ones, the oldest is four years old. Furthermore the "Mobile International Library" in Gothenburg (operated by the city) are inviting visitors to see them "in action" on their regular stops around the city.
