The presentations and photos from IFLA sponsored Kuopio-3 conference are now on line. The theme of the conference was "The Universal Repository Library and guarantees of the sustainability of the digital copy". Key note speakers were Caroline Brazier (British Library), Derek Law (University of Strathclyde), Constance Malpas (OCLC) and Steve O'Connor (Hong Kong Polytechnics Library).

IFLA's Senior Policy Advisor will be attending the 4th Internet Governance Forum taking place November 15-18 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. The theme of this year's Forum is 'Internet Governance - Creating Opportunities for All' and IFLA will also be represented by colleagues from Egypt and Oman. IFLA Internet Workshop in Cusco, Peru – Assessing the Impact

On October 22nd and 23rd, IFLA's FAIFE Committee held an impact assessment workshop in Cusco, Peru. The objective of the workshop was to look at the effects of a series of workshops on the IFLA Internet Manifesto that took place in 12 regions of Peru between March and October 2009.

UNESCO Endorses the IFLA Multicultural Library Manifesto!

During a meeting in Paris last month the UNESCO General Conference endorsed the IFLA Multicultural Library Manifesto, making it the latest in a number of joint IFLA/UNESCO documents that include the School Library Manifesto and the Public Library Manifesto
