As the cultural heritage sector looks to recover, rebuild and grow in post-pandemic times, Europeana 2021 – taking place from 10 -12 November – aims to raise voices from across the sector to empower digital transformation and explore the role digital cultural heritage plays in supporting a sustainable, responsible and inspiring cultural heritage sector for today and tomorrow.

Would you like to find out more about digital storytelling, and how it can be used to engage audiences with sustainability?

IFLA’s Library Map of the World (LMW) provides a unique digital space for libraries to share the stories that demonstrate their contribution to achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Meanwhile, ‘Utrecht 2040’ is a game that introduces students of the Utrecht University to sustainability and the goals while they create ‘the best possible Utrecht in 2040’ in a funny and engaging way.

Both of these initiatives tell a great story, something which is essential to raising awareness, changing attitudes and engaging audiences. Join this workshop as it looks at these initiatives to highlight and share tips around good practices for telling stories online, drawing on the recommendations of the Europeana Communicators Community Digital Storytelling Task Force.
