IFLA’s PAC Centre at CERDOTOLA, Cameroon, Hosts International Conference on Documentary Heritage Safeguarding for Peacebuilding

The goals of this 2-day Conference were to bring library and documentary heritage professionals from across Cameroon and other Francophone Central African countries together to learn more about documentary heritage conservation and preservation, specifically in conflict and post-conflict zones.

With Strong Libraries, Everyone Can Learn: Cameroonian Librarians Engage at WIPO Conference

Around the world, libraries are at the heart of education institutions, giving access to the materials students and teachers need. Librarians from Cameroon attended a WIPO conference on 21-22 November in order to underline the need to support their institutions as part of a comprehensive development strategy.

Second BSLA workshop held in Francophone Africa

The IFLA Building Strong Library Associations Programme (BSLA) supports projects in Africa, Asia and Oceania, and Latin America and the Caribbean. BSLA offers a strategic and coordinated approach to capacity building and sustainability of library associations and provides training modules to assist in developing the library and information profession, improving library services and building strategic partnerships and advocacy skills.
