Mirjana Nešić and Anna Bohn, Audiovisual and Multimedia Section (AVMS), together with Marija Šimunović and Magdalena Gomułka, New Professionals Special Interest Group (NPSIG), offered a special interactive workshop on the use of open-source applications and programmes to help users create and evaluate audiovisual content. Participants learned how to create, use and share some of the multimedia outputs, but also learned about synthetic media applications used to manipulate audiovisual content—as well as how to develop skills used to evaluate and verify information.

With more than 50 enthusiastic and highly committed participants, the workshop was a complete success. To our delight, the workshop was presented by the official IFLA website as one of the highlights of the first day of the conference
