The Librarianship Panel in Santa Catarina (Painel Biblioteconomia em Santa Catarina) has taken place since 1982 and is organised by the Catarinense Association of Librarians (Associação Catarinense de Bibliotecários [ACB]) in Brazil.

Goals

  • Improve the professional practice of librarians in Santa Catarina;
  • Disseminate and share experiences, research results and studies in the area of ​​Library and Information Science carried out in Santa Catarina and other regions of the country;
  • Promote debates that contribute to the realization of projects that promote citizenship, responsibility and social inclusion;
  • Socialize practices and envision opportunities for political intervention by the librarian category in Santa Catarina, designing actions related to professional/political action.

IFLA President Barbara Lison and IFLA President-elect Antonia Arahova will take part in a panel discussion on “2030 Agenda: Libraries today and what do we want for tomorrow?”
