Under the theme: ‘People at the centre: envisioning a community-led internet that is inclusive, sustainable and trusted’, the Asia-Pacific regional Internet Governance Forum brings together governments, business and other stakeholders to address key issues in how the internet is run.

With the Asia-Pacific region containing both some of the richest and some of the poorest countries in the world, with major differences in levels of connectivity, there are plenty of challenges to overcome, but also plenty of opportunities to share.

IFLA will be well represented by members of the Asia-Oceania Regional Division Committee, including Nina Nakaora who will participate in the Asia-Pacific School of Internet Governance, and Winston Roberts and Misako Nomura who will bring their experience both to IFLA’s joint side-event with the Internet Society, and wider engagement.
