Upcoming E4GDH webinar: Librarians are Essential - Advocating for a Seat at the Table

In our next E4GDH webinar (Thursday 8 August, 9.00 – 9.50 a.m. EDT), Siobhan Champ-Blackwell and Dr. Lenny Rhine will be discussing practical examples from across the globe of what library and information specialists are doing in the areas of advocacy, and in particular how these examples can be modelled for advocacy of libraries’ roles in disaster situations.

In our next E4GDH webinar (Thursday 14th March, 11.30 am – 12.30 am ET), Feili Tu-Keefner will be discussing her research into the role public librarians have played in times of crisis, and sharing lessons learnt.

IFLA WLIC 2019: Joint session with CPDWL and E4GDH SIG

Continuing Professional Development and Workplace Learning (CPDWL) and the Evidence for Global and Disaster Health SIG (E4GDH) are joining forces to run an open session on exploring, testing and evaluating ways to transfer skills within our profession and with our communities. Submissions may take the form of a regular presentation which shares an innovative approach, or delivery of content via an interactive learning technique. ​
