International Advocacy Programme (IAP): 14 projects selected

In August 2017, IFLA launched a worldwide second call for proposals to request funding for the implementation of regional or national awareness-raising and capacity building activities for 2017-2018, as part of the International Advocacy Programme (IAP). IFLA is pleased to announce the 14 selected projects.

Making it Happen, Making it Count: Celebrating Libraries’ Contribution to Media and Information Literacy

As a key partner of the UNESCO Global Alliance of Partnerships for Media and Information Literacy, IFLA President Glòria Pérez-Salmeròn and Secretary-General Gerald Leitner will attend the 6th Global Media and Information Literacy Week held in Kingston, Jamaica from the 25th of October to the 1st of November 2017. UNESCO launched this global partnership in 2013 with the goal to highlight critical thinking and global media awareness.
