The first day will be settled at the very heart of Wroclaw, the famous Rynek, at Dolnośląska Biblioteka Publiczna im. Tadeusza Mikulskiego — the Regional public library of Wroclaw.

It will be dedicated to exploring a variety of trends: you can come with a topic you would like to talk about with professionals from all over the world; we vote in the morning to decide what will be explored during the day.

In addition to the lively discussion, during the day we will have a special Movement workshop held by Anna Olkinuora from UtoUto performing arts company. Workshop is about daring to give the body freedom of being an important part of creative processes, provoke mind and connect it with ideas through the different “logic”, also to brush up the ability of alternative from spoken word ways of communication.

Creative Movement Workshop by UtoUto
– to involve body into creative processes

The theme of IFLA camp 2017 is movement. Creative movement workshop is about daring to give the body freedom of being an important part of creative processes, provoke mind and connect it with ideas through the different “logic”, also to brush up the ability of alternative from spoken word ways of communication.

UtoUto’s workshops are not one particular method one has to rationally understand. The core of the work is based on UtoUto’s own methods of performance making that has been built and developed from various theatre, dance and performing arts practices. During the workshop images, thoughts, text and music are used as stimuli.

Creative movement is about not being afraid to look silly or make a mistake. No previous skills from dance or movement needed.

Workshop facilitator – Anna Olkinuora, performing artist and director from UtoUto Performing arts company.
