It’s the IFLA Global Vision regional workshop finale later this week as Africa takes to the stage on 7- 8 July in Durban, South Africa to discuss their ideas for actions for a united library field.
The Library Society of China’s 2018 Conference, held on 31 May – 1 June in Langfang, China, provided a rich opportunity to engage librarians from across the country in building IFLA’s Global Vision. IFLA President Glòria Pérez-Salmerón and Secretary General Gerald Leitner attended, speaking and meeting with the thousands of participants.
It was full steam ahead for the IFLA Global Vision Regional Workshop tour as key players from the Asia and Oceania library field came together on 23 – 25 May to contribute their ideas for actions in our second phase of this unique worldwide discussion.
The IFLA Global Vision Regional Workshop arrived in Paris, France on 14 - 16 May for Europe's turn to generate their ideas for actions and what a wealth of ideas there were!
24 leaders from the library field engaged in the IFLA Global Vision Regional Workshop for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) on 8 – 10 May, hosted at the National Library of Tunisia.
Next week sees the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region's turn to discuss their ideas for actions as the IFLA Global Vision discussion reaches the splendid National Library of Tunisia on 8 – 10 May and the Global Vision team cannot wait to begin!
Hot on the heels of our fantastic Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) regional workshop last week, it was North America’s turn to shine as the IFLA Global Vision world tour reached Ottawa, Canada and to a wondrous reception.
