International Conference on National Library: Harnessing Information to Empower the Nations; 5–6 August 2015 – Colombo, Sri Lanka
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of National Library, the National Library and Documentation Services Board of Sri Lanka has planned an International Conference with the main objective of strengthening cooperation among national libraries in South and Southeast Asia. The conference will take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 5-6 August 2015.
We invite you to join with us as speakers and share your knowledge, expertise and experiences at this significant event.
The proposed themes (though not limited to these) for the conference include:
- Role of National Libraries in Achieving National Development Goals
- National Libraries and Cultural Heritage
- National Libraries as Centres of Innovation
- Emerging Trends in National Libraries
- National Information Policies
- Preservation of Indigenous knowledge
