The Creative Commons Global Summit brings together people from around the world interested in making it easier to create and share knowledge freely. IFLA will be there, talking in particular about how copyright can best serve the interest of libraries, and sharing and exchanging experience in copyright reforms.

Taking place from May 9-11 May in Lisbon, Portugal, the Global Summit includes a wide range of sessions looking in depth at how to facilitate knowledge creation and sharing. These run from copyright laws to teaching individuals how to use licences or upload materials to Wikipedia.
