EUROLIS Seminar 2016
EUROLIS (the consortium of librarians from European cultural institutes in London) invites you to a one-day seminar focusing on the role of libraries in the fight for human rights.
Libraries have always been about enabling access to information, but how do we guarantee that everyone can benefit? We have invited leading experts from UK, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal and Germany to present current projects and share their experiences and ideas with the audience.
This one-day seminar focuses on the role of libraries as institutions at the forefront of profound changes in society. It is organised by EUROLIS and the International Library and Information Group (ILIG) of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP).
The seminar will be chaired by Martyn Wade, Chair of the CILIP Board and IFLA FAIFE committee.
IFLA Governing Board member Loida Garcia-Febo will give a presentation via Skype on "Diversity and Ethics: to foster dialog about inclusion and ethics in libraries".
