IFLA is looking forward to engaging at the 2023 European Dialogue on Internet Governance, which will take place in Tampere, Finland, on 19-21 June.

It takes place at an exciting time in the internet governance discussion, with the Global Digital Compact due next year and the WSIS+20 (World Summit on the Information Society) and IGF+20 (Internet Governance Forum) in 2025.

Library representatives will be there, underlining the powerful cross-cutting role that libraries can play across the internet governance agenda, in particular in ensuring that everyone is not just connected, but also enabled to make the most of the possibility this brings to fulfil their rights and potential.

In particular, we will be holding a flash session on this point, but also engaging with stakeholders across the agenda in order to build awareness and support for a better integration of libraries into wider agendas.

IFLA will be represented by Maia Simonishvili, member of our Europe Regional Division Committee, and our Headquarters team.
