In recent years, achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has become one of the most important global issues. The National Diet Library, Japan will host a web lecture about libraries and the SDGs featuring IFLA President Barbara Lison.

In this lecture, IFLA President Barbara Lison will discuss the IFLA Strategy, give examples of initiatives taken by libraries in some countries, and talk about international cooperation from the perspective of achieving the SDGs.

A pre-recorded video will be streamed for the lecture section. Q&A session will be streamed live with simultaneous interpretation in English and Japanese.
