7th IFLA Green Library Award 2022 Results

The winners of the IFLA Green Library Award 2022 are
Category “Best Green Library”
Singapore, National Library Board Singapore—“Revamp of Choa Chu Kang Public Library”
Category “Best Green Library Project”
France, Paris, Médiathèque de la Canopée-la fontaine—“La Médiathèque de la Canopée : a Pilot Library for Sustainable Development for the Parisian Network”
Both winners will receive award certificates, signed by ENSULIB Chair and Secretary.
A special recognition goes to
Colombia, Cali, Comuna 1 Cultural Center Public Library—“The Neighborhood Path”
This project was carried out with minimal resources but has a big impact. The Comuna 1 Cultural Center Public Library will receive an award certificate and, to further their project, 500€ generously sponsored by the German publishing house de Gruyter.

- USA, Boston, MA, Valente Branch Library—“Cambridge Public Library – Valente Branch”
Category “Best Green Library Project”
- Belgium, Jette, BiblioJette and BibJette—“Adopt a Plant at Your Public Library: the Plantotek Project”
- France, Médiathèque Mouezh ar gallon, Tourc’h—“A Shared Garden Library to Develop Biodiversity”
- Norway, Lier, Lier bibliotek—“The Fish That Take Root”
All short-listed runners-up will receive certificates, signed by ENSULIB Chair and Secretary.
The competition was extremely hard. All short-listed submissions were worthy of being honoured as “winners”, but only two could be selected in the end.
