Application Opportunity

Beyond Access is seeking applications from teams of representatives from libraries, community-based organizations, and governments to demonstrate how libraries are powering development. Beyond Access Members will use their experience to emphasize innovative ways libraries are addressing diverse development challenges.

Beyond Access Members will receive travel scholarships to attend the Beyond Access Conference in Washington, DC in October 2012, receive support in expanding partnerships with governments and other stakeholders, and be eligible for additional grant funding at and after the Beyond Access Conference.

At the conference, Beyond Access members will present their ideas for innovative library projects that demonstrate how modern libraries can meet community needs in education, health, agriculture, economic opportunity, and civic participation. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through July 15, 2012. Beyond Access members will be announced beginning March 31 and will receive assistance in refining their project proposals and building a strong team of library, NGO, and national or local government representatives.
