The Rijksmuseum Research Library and the IFLA Art Libraries Section will organize a satellite conference from 17 – 19 August at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, The Netherlands around the theme Big Ideas, Challenging Questions. The goal is to discuss the future of art and visual information, and to talk about the challenges and opportunities of the art library in relation to digital scholarly and/or artistic practices.

In 2022, the focus of the IFLA and ADGC conferences was today’s challenges of art libraries (Dublin) with conversations on the Future of Art Bibliography offspring projects (FAB) such as the Getty Research Portal, the Collaborative ART Archive (CARTA), the International Consortium of Photo Archieves (PHAROS), the Art Discovery Group Catalogue (ADGC), the Cicognara Digital Library but also the Openbibart.fr, Art Research Collective Collection project (OpArt) and the Collections as Data initiatives. Reports on many of these projects have been presented at the Münich ADGC conference in 2022.
