Call for Papers: ARL Hot Topics session at IFLA Congress in Dublin, Ireland 2022

Theme: “Truth, Evidence and Memory: Academic Libraries as Cultural Rights Defenders”
The IFLA Academic and Research Libraries Section is seeking proposals for lightning talks (6-8 min each) to be presented in-person at the Hot Topics Session at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress 2022 in Dublin, Ireland.
Proposals for any of the listed topics will be considered:
- Respect Culture (e.g. Indigenous Knowledge)
- Truth telling (e.g. Reckoning)
- Divisive Concepts (e.g. legislative incursions into academic freedom, free speech)
- Reconciliation (e.g. civic engagement, community dialog, repatriation, reparations, voting rights, etc.)
The lightning talks will be followed by small round table discussions on the topics led by presenters.  Audience participation will be essential to learn and understand the importance of libraries’ roles in this work.
