7th IFLA Green Library Award

The short list finalists for the 7th IFLA Green Library Award have been selected

IFLA Green Library Award was a success also this year. To our great delight ENSULIB received 31 submissions from around the world, including Argentina, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, India, Italy, Norway, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, USA. All applications were checked to determine if they were properly prepared and follow the guidelines for submissions. These applications were selected for the longlist. Thereafter, the submissions were evaluated by the independent international ENSULIB Award Reviewing Committee, following the IFLA Green Library Award Criteria.

In accordance with the Reviewing Committee’s evaluations and comments, the IFLA Green Library Award 2022 short list finalists in two categories are (in alphabetic order):

ENSULIB congratulates all the short list finalists. We also wish that these great submissions will inspire libraries all round the world and show the way how to make their libraries more sustainable. The short list finalists will be presented on ENSULIB’s web page as well as in social media.

The two winners of the IFLA Green Library Award 2022 will be announced during ENSULIB’s Satellite Meeting in Cork, Ireland 22/23 July 2022. In the same occasion, a Special Recognition will be given to a submission which impressed the Reviewing Committee for having great impact with modest financial input.

The IFLA Green Library Award is given annually, and it is sponsored by De Gruyter Publishing (Boston/Berlin).

ENSULIB’s Satellite Meeting will be arranged in co-operation with Management and Marketing and Conservation and Preservation Sections and it will be hosted by Cork University College Library.
