IFLA Local History and Genealogy Section – Call for Co-opted Members
13 September 2022
Hello colleagues,
The IFLA Local History and Genealogy Section is looking to co-opt additional members. We have had a few vacancies and would like to take this occasion to increase our membership roster and our regional representation. The section would like to add members from Latin America, the Caribbean, Middle East and North Africa, and Africa. With more members we will be able to offer more activities and share more information related to local history, culture, and genealogy to library professionals globally.
As a Local History and Genealogy committee member you would be expected to attend virtual meetings, contribute to projects and initiatives including communicating the work to your professional networks.
If you are interested, please fill out the self-nomination form before September 30, 2022. All members (current and any new co-opted members) will need to stand for re-election in the next election cycle.
You can read more about our Section’s activities on the IFLA LHG website.
Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to working with you.
