Japan Earthquake, March 2011

A year has now passed since the 9.0-magnitude earthquake—one of the largest ever recorded—and ensuing tsunami devastated Japan, leaving more than 15,000 dead, several thousand missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, massive property damage, and lingering nuclear worries.

One of our IFLA colleagues in Japan has recently collected some important resources that detail the devastation and give updates on current reconstruction efforts, including to Japanese libraries.
