SET Training School News
28 September 2021
The SET Training School is a new Project of the IFLA Education and Training Section (SET) that emerged out of the conversation the professional community has had in connection with the IFLA Global vision. It meets an evident need of LIS schools that want to design an innovative curriculum where they can find Open Educational Resources (OER) and a curriculum model to reuse and adapt to different contexts..
The SET Training School is a one year Project (2021-2022) and together with worldwide LIS educators wants to pursue the following objectives:
- Agree on an international curriculum model, suitable to fulfill the services role foreseen by the Global Vision;
- Develop Open Educational Resources (OER) with open license for their reuse and translation;
- Plan a series of Webinars as Training the trainers events, discussing the Curriculum;
- Organize a Summer School with students and teachers during WLIC 2022.
The SET Training School Planning Committee is managing the Project: Howayda Kamel and Anna Maria Tammaro (Co-chairs), Susanne List-Tretthahn, and Albina Krymskaya.
