WLIC 2022 Dublin is almost upon us!
21 April 2022
With registration opening in March, we already have more than 1000 registrants for WLIC 2022 Dublin. This year’s WLIC is rich with diverse sessions on a wide range of topics, from copyright to awards, to trends in the profession and standards, with workshops on a myriad of skill-building topics.
The programme includes 12 Satellite Meetings in and around Ireland (Satellite Meetings – IFLA WLIC 2022), some 56 sessions by Standing Committees and SIGs, and 205 posters proposals accepted. IFLA HQ staff is currently gathering input on scheduling conflicts from Officers and look forward to sharing the draft programme with all members by the end of April.
WLIC is all set to start on July 25th with a day of committee meetings and the Officers’ reception at Trinity College, then on Tuesday July 26th the programme begins, with the Caucus meetings that evening, running through Wednesday July 27th and finishing with the closing ceremony on Thursday July 28th. Friday July 29th will be an incredible day of library tours and visits and you can check out what is available and book your seat now (Library Visits – IFLA WLIC 2022) .
We are all looking forward to the Cultural Evening and can hardly wait to see what our Irish hosts have in store for us for the evening programme. Don’t forget your dancing shoes, just in case . . .
WLIC Dublin is proceeding full steam ahead, and shaping up to be a Congress to remember. Special thanks to the Irish organizing committee, Professional Council WLIC 2022 Sub Committee, our incredible team at IFLA HQ and all of you that have contributed to WLIC 2022 Dublin’s development. The work and collaboration has been outstanding.
We look forward to seeing you in Dublin in July.
We are IFLA!
