Supporter, Complement, Gateway – How School Libraries Make the Difference for Teachers
Teachers are at the heart of efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4 – Quality Education. Yet they cannot do it alone, with libraries providing essential support both inside and out of school, and throughout life.
To mark World Teachers Day, IFLA has produced an article, drawing on papers presented at the World Library and Information Congress, setting out how school libraries in particular are supporters of and complements to the work of teachers, as well as gateways to the wider world.
