Joint IFLA IT Section/LIASA HELIG webinar

The IFLA Information Technology (IT) Section and LIASA’s Higher Education Library Interest Group (HELIG) have teamed up for a webinar in the lead up to the IFLA WLIC 2022 Satellite Meeting on Artificial Intelligence, “New Horizons in Artificial Intelligence in Libraries”.

Introduction

Artificial Intelligence has once again been ranked at the top of Simplilearn’s list of trending technologies to learn in 2022. The focus has shifted to using AI to “detect the changing patterns of customer behaviour by analysing data in near real-time, driving revenues and enhancing personalized experiences” (Simplilearn, 2022; https://www.simplilearn.com/top-technology-trends-and-jobs-article). It is thus a time for libraries to unlearn and relearn, towards using innovative techniques in providing dynamic user support services. You are invited to join our webinar focusing on aspects to consider for embracing AI into our libraries, leading up to the IFLA WLIC 2022 Satellite Conference on Artificial Intelligence.
