IFLA is looking forward to bringing together colleagues from across the Asia-Oceania region for a workshop focused on building the connections, skills and understanding needed to promote a sustainable library field. IFLA President Barbara Lison will oversee the event, strengthening our Federation’s connections within the region.

In line with her presidential theme – Libraries: Building a Sustainable Future – the workshop will provide a space and opportunity for discussion about the key things that we need to do in order to ensure that we can continue to support the development of our societies into the future.

On the agenda will be work around advocacy, developing strategies, future-readiness, use of data and evaluation, as well as a seminar kindly hosted by the United Nations offices focused on how information and libraries can support the delivery of UN goals in the region.

We are thrilled to have a great group of colleagues from associations, national libraries and beyond joining us.

This project is made possible through a grant from Stichting IFLA Global Libraries.
