Any type of green library, or outstanding green library project, initiative or idea was invited to apply for the Award. Libraries with a small budget but a great impact were explicitly invited to participate in the competition.

IFLA’s Environment, Sustainability and Libraries Section (ENSULIB) is calling for expressions of interest for four, co-opted members to join our Standing Committee. We would like to see nominees especially from Asia, South-America and Africa to strengthen our diversity, but are also open to interest from other continents.

On 19 August, IFLA’s Environment, Sustainability and Libraries Section (ENSULIB) and Public Libraries Section (PLS) , in collaboration with Bibliotheek Midden-Brabant, LocHal (Tilburg), are organising a Satellite Meeting before the 2023 IFLA World Library and Information Congress in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
