Library History SIG at IFLA WLIC 2018 in Kuala Lumpur

Session Theme: Transform Libraries. Transform Societies: Library outreach to marginalized populations: historical perspectives.

The SIG has received a wonderful selection of abstracts for its session at IFLA 2018 and now has to make the difficult decision of choosing just a few for presentation at the conference and this task is now underway.  I am delighted to also advise that Associate Professor Brendan Luyt of Nanyang Technological University Singapore has agreed to deliver a keynote at our session and the tile of his presentation is:  When the marginalized are the majority: the colonial library in Singapore.
