Document Delivery and Digital Inclusion

    Promoting digital inclusion is an essential goal for libraries around the world, particularly so in the fields of resource sharing and document delivery. When libraries were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Document Delivery and Resource Sharing section launched the RSCVD (Resource Sharing during COVID) service, an innovative crowdsourced initiative which enabled libraries to continue to meet the information needs of their communities while working remotely.     Resource Sharing: A Key Pillar of Open - Final Conference of the HERMES Project

      Save the date for the final conference of the HERMES project on resource sharing, bringing together librarians, researchers, students and advocates for a knowledge commons in order to share tools, learn lessons, and identify future needs in the field of resource sharing. The conference takes place on 18 April 2023 at the National Library of the Netherlands in The Hague, with training on 19 April.

        IFLA, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, invites bids from IFLA Members to host the 18th IFLA Interlending and Document Supply (ILDS) Conference to be held in September or October 2024. This conference typically runs 2 to 4 days in length, attracts between 150 and 200 delegates, and operates with a budget of approximately EUR 50,000.
